The deep green of the GREEN TARA incense binds it to the heart chakra. When burning, it gives off surprising aromas of smoked wood and musk. Green Tara is a Buddhist deity, with green skin; she is a major figure for Tibetans. She embodies compassion, courage and Love. She acts, according to Tibetans, on heart energies and creates an opening and a harmonization between terrestrial and celestial energies.

Two rituals used by every Tibetan is the Tara and Avalokiteshvara rituals. Everyone knows them by heart. Everyone sings them. Whether they are inside of a bus riding on one of the hazardous roads of the Himalayas or in dangerous areas atop craggy ravines. In such times, Tibetans call upon Tara who overcomes fear and obstacles. Therefore, it is probably one of the most common practices found there.
Legend has it that Tara was born a princess several million years ago, several Kalpas ago, several universes before ours. This princess, called Yeshe Dawa, became a bodhisattva thanks to her spiritual work. She worked her whole life, as well as her previous lives, in order to become powerful enough to help hundreds of millions of beings every day. She committed to be born again as a woman, which is the unusual aspect of Tara. Bodhisattvas are usually born again in the shape of a man. Tara is gifted with such compassion, conviction, courage and fearlessness that she became a model for all. The Tara practice is very common not only when it comes to asking for help and support but also to acquire the qualities which she possesses.
Tibetans regard Tara as the emanation of all of the buddhas and bodhisattvas; her very essence, the Tara principle, is her fearlessness and her courage.
This incense is quite possibly the mildest, the most suited in case of hardships. It is also suited to increase motivation.
Therefore, this incense is, for Buddhists, perfectly suited for prayers and requests for protection, but also, and above all, to transform oneself into a better self!
